Objectives
- organise knowledge and provide the tools to develop a class leadership in Lean project implementation
- supply attendees with a high potential the tools and methods to acquire a strategic vision in the Operations processes
- provide participants with a wide-ranging vision of operative procedures, including outside their individual functions and areas
- discuss the principle innovations in Lean logic and understand how it differs from traditional, well-established logic

Topics covered during the programme have been:
- Lean methodology applied to services
- Strategic importance of Operations. Classification of the process of delivering a service. Strategic performance of Operations. Operations-customer alignment

- The Lean approach and how it differs from other approaches. The five Lean principles. Lean tools
- Value Stream Mapping and sharing experience
- Dynamics of operating systems
- Quantitative analysis of the processes and variability analysis
- Variability management
- Programming modalities. Flattening of demand
- Managing the change
- Continuous improvement
- Project management
The course also involves carrying out project work in parallel with classroom lessons (in general, one project per participant) with the aim of formulating a Lean project customised for each company department.

Teaching methods
Face-to-face lessons, case study discussions, coursework, business games, sharing experience, project work. Classroom lessons are preceded and inter-spaced by coursework and personal study, whereby participants read and study material proposed by their teachers, in order to promote a continuous alignment and the immediate application of the subject matter learnt.
