Curriculum Giovanni Azzone, born in Milano in 1962, received his Laurea in Management and Production Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 1986. Since 1994 is Full Professor of Management Control Systems with the Faculty of System Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano and since 2002 Pro-rector of the Politecnico di Milano..
At present, he is also:
- Member of the Committee for the strategic valuation and control of State administrations, at the Presidency of the Italian Government;
- Vice President of the National Committee for the Evaluation of Higher Education;
- Academic Vice President of Unitech, a not-for-profit organization that involves 8 leading European technical universities (Imperial College, Politecnica di Catalunya, Ecole Politechnique, RTWH Aachen, ETH Zurich, Chalmers University, TU Delft, Politecnico di Milano) and 25 leading European companies;
- Member of the Board of SUPSI, professional university school of the Italian Switzerland;
- Member of the editorial boards of "European Journal of Innovation Management", "Journal of engineering valuation and cost analysis" and "Engineering Design and Automation"
Main research interests of Giovanni Azzone are in the areas of performance management and public management
