Floris is a dual PhD candidate at the Department of Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft. His research is focused on the integration of conflicting design requirements (such as privacy, security and safety) into the innovation process of surveillance technologies. Examples of these technologies are facial recognition technologies or technologies that enable the widespread location tracking of citizens. Research projects: Uncovering how conflicting design requirements (privacy, security, safety etc) are integrated into the innovation process of surveillance technologies, such as facial recognition software.
