CleanTech Challenge 2015 Italian Chapter

The CleanTech Challenge 2015 is the seventh edition of an international competition for green technologies. Inter-functional teams composed of students from top business and engineering schools participate sharing their ideas for projects in areas such as clean technology, energy, electric mobility, green building, etc., covering everything from the design phase to the attracting potential investors…for a cleaner, greener world.
Local CleanTech Challenge Chapters across Europe select the best ideas during the preliminary phases. In Italy, the competition is coordinated for the fourth year in a row by MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business, well-known for its innovation and technology focus, in collaboration with London Business School and University College London.

Students coming from 17 different countries have taken part in the CleanTech Challenge 2015 Italian Chapter. They are enrolled in the following 9 Institutions: MIP Politecnico di Milano, Bologna Business School, Istituto Scientifico Universitario San Raffaele, MIB School of Management, Politecnico di Milano, SDA Bocconi, Università Bocconi, Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Università di Ferrara.

Out of the 20 submissions received, the best 5 projects have been selected to take part in the Final Boot Camp to be held at MIP on March 27th-28th. Teams will be asked to demonstrate the technical and financial viability of their ideas, which will be judged by representatives of the partner companies ABB, ERG Renew, Rolls Royce plc, and investors. These five teams are: BidFood, From Dirty or Hard Water to Clean Energy and H2O, LiTTERY!, Pay Own Use, The Clean Way to Handcrafted Luxury Made in Italy.

The winning team will be awarded €5.000 and will reach the International CleanTech Challenge finals in London for the chance to win another £10.000.
