PROGRAMME

The International Master in Supply Chain and Procurement Management is a 12-month Master programme offered by MIP Politecnico di Milano, that seeks to instruct students on managerial topics relevant to  Supply Chain and Procurement Management with special focus on today’s important areas such as Supply Chain Big Data and Analytics, Technology, Innovation and Sustainability. The programme also includes the following practical activities: lessons, seminars held by international lecturers, workshops on soft skills empowerment, company presentations, project work in collaboration with companies, company visits, international study tour in Rotterdam
The master is entirely taught in English.

Please note that this programme is designed for fresh graduates with ideally no more than 3 years of work experience. Candidates who have have more than 3 years of work experience may also consider our International MBA programs.

Students will spend 2 terms in Milan followed by summer project work. Additionally, in spring the students will go on a study-tour to the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
The Master’s academic structure features four fundamental blocks: generalist content, specialised content, concentrations and Project Work. The first of these, the generalist content segment, has a dual purpose: it both lays the foundations for the subsequent specialised in-depth studies and also provides participants with a standardised overview so that they can start their journey from the same place, irrespective of their initial knowledge based on their various backgrounds. The generalist content is divided into General Management, Basics of Digital Transformation and Soft Skills.

Who is eligible for the iMSCPM Programme?

Students with a 3- or 4-year bachelor’s degree of in management, business, engineering or scientific disciplines (minimum 180 ECTS) or higher are eligible to apply. Knowledge of English is a compulsory requirement.

How long is the iMSCPM programme?

The programme is 12 months long.

In what language is the programme taught?

The programme is taught in English, although there are opportunities for students to learn the native language of the country of study throughout the programme.

Do I need to speak Italian?

No, as the medium for the course is English, students are not required to learn Italian, although they will be given the opportunity to do so.

How many students are on the programme?

The average class size is around twenty-five students.

Is there an age limit for the programme?

No, but the average age of the candidates is 20-25 years.

What type of degree/title will I obtain upon graduation?

Upon graduation, candidates obtain the First Level University Specializing Master from Politecnico di Milano which is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and it is issued under the autonomous responsibility of Politecnico di Milano. With regard to the specific meaning of the 1st level master's degree, as per Bologna process, this is a 2nd cycle programme intended to provide students with further specialization or higher continuing education after completion of the first cycle. The Master Degree of first level will release 60 ECTS/CFU credits. 

Candidates are advised to check with the relevant authorities in their home countries regarding the validity/recognition of this title in their home countries. 

Will I have to buy textbooks?

No, you will be provided textbooks by the programme, with the cost included as part of the overall programme fee.

ADMISSIONS

STATUS OF APPLICATIONS: APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022 INTAKE ARE OPEN.

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. Since the number of seats in class is limited, candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Should the course become fully subscribed before the deadline dates, applications will close earlier.

Non-EU students are encouraged to apply at least three months before the start of the programme in order to allow enough time for the Statement of Comparability of the degree and application of the student visa.

STEP 2: SCREENING OF CANDIDATURE

You will be contacted for the Motivational Interview in English, which will take place online.

STEP 3: COMMUNICATION OF THE FINAL ADMISSION DECISION

If the result of the selection interview is positive, you will receive the final admission and scholarship (if any) decision by email.

STEP 4: CONFIRMATION OF PARTICIPATION

Upon receipt of the admission offer, you will be required to pay the first instalment of EUR 2500 within 15 days of the date of receipt of the offer letter should you wish to confirm your participation to the programme (a short extension to this deadline can be requested in case you are applying for an education loan, external scholarship etc, or for any other viable reason).

What is the deadline for applying to the programme?

Please note that the admissions process for the Master is on a rolling basis, therefore the sooner you apply the more chance you will have of securing your place in the class, as capacity may be reached before the final application deadlines.

Does the MSCPM programme have a letter of recommendation form?

There is no specific form for the recommendation letters; however if you need any help on the ideal template for your application, please contact infomasters@mip.polimi.it and we can provide you with further assistance in this matter.

FEES AND BENEFITS

The programme costs €18,500. This amount covers the entire length of the programme, although it does not include living and travel expenses.
The tuition fee is €9,500 for alumni who completed a Master of Science programme at Politecnico di Milano in or after 2019.

Applicants for the 2022 intake of the International Junior Specialising Masters can apply for fee reductions. The reductions will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, early applications are encouraged. Candidates wishing to apply for financial aid must make their request on the application form at the time of application – later requests for financial aid will not be considered.
