Here are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) we receive from prospective students interested in our MSCPM programme.

Who is eligible for the MSCPM Programme?
Students with a bachelor degree of 3 or 4 years in management, business, engineering or scientific disciplines (minimum 180 ECTS) or higher are eligible to apply.
The English knowledge is a compulsory requirement.

How long is the MSCPM programme?
The programme is 12 months long.

In what language is the programme taught?
The programme is taught in English, although there are opportunities for students to study the native language of the country of study throughout the programme.

Do I need to speak Italian?
No, as the medium for the course is English, students are not required to learn Italian, although they will be given the opportunity to do so.

How many students are in the programme?
The average class size is around twenty students.

Is there an age limit for the programme?
No, but the programme is ideally suited for recent University graduates and those in the initial stages of their career.

What is the application date to apply for the programme?
The final application date for Non EU students is the 31st of May, whilst EU students have until the 15th of July to apply for the course starting in 2018. However, please note that the admission process for the master is on a rolling basis, therefore the sooner you apply the more chances you will have of securing your place in the class, as capacity may be reached before the final application deadlines.

How can I apply for the program?
To apply for the programme, please follow the instructions on the Admissions page of our website. Make sure to stay aware of the deadlines for each year.

Does the MSCPM programme have a letter of recommendation form?
There is no specific form for the recommendation letters; however if you need any further assistance on the ideal template for your application, please contact infomasters@mip.polimi.it and we can provide you with further assistance in this matter.

I am currently finishing my bachelor studies, but I will not get my degree until after the application period ends. May I still apply?
Yes. Applicants may apply for the programme if they expect to graduate by the starting date of the programme in September. Applicants who are yet to graduate from their respective programme are required to submit documentation from their current school or university indicating the expected graduation date. Final admission will depend on the successful completion of this programme and will only be made once all the necessary documentation is received.

I am not a native English speaker, but I have completed my studies in English. Do I still have to submit English proficiency test scores?
No, for students who have completed their studies in English, a statement from your University stating that the medium of instruction was English is enough. The admissions team will assess your level of English during the motivational interview and if they find it insufficient, you will be asked to provide the IELTS or TOEFL score.

Do I need to sit the GMAT to apply for the course?
No, the GMAT is not necessary for the course.

How long does the admissions process last, and when do we know the final decision?
Admissions are on a rolling basis, so once all application documents have been received, we can provide you with feedback on the status of your application. This process usually takes around one week on average.

What is the cost of the programme?

The programme costs €15,000. These costs cover the entire length of the programme, although they do not include living and travel expenses.

How do I apply for tuition fee contributions or grants for the programme?

Will I have to buy textbooks?

No, you will be provided textbooks by the programme, with the cost included as part of the overall programme fee.

What is the cost of living in Milan?

The cost of living is comparable to many other important European centres. We recommend that students budget for around 800 to 1000 euros per month, however these costs will vary depending on each person’s personal spending habits.

Where is MIP located in Milan?

MIP is located in the north-west of Milan at the Bovisa site, a brand new campus just 2 trains stops from the centre of Milan. It is also well serviced by buses and trams.

Where can I stay during my studies?

MIP has a range of agreements with various residences around Milan, each with fast and easy access to the Bovisa campus, or we can assist you in finding short term private accommodation. Visit the International Students Office page to find out more.

Can I visit you and talk in more details with someone about the programme?

If you would like to have a campus tour and meet with our representatives personally, please contact us at infomasters@mip.polimi.it. We will be happy to arrange a time to see you, or alternatively assist you in arranging to visit any of the partner schools of the programme.

Can I sit in on a lesson?

Yes, just ask us in advance to arrange a time. Usually there is no problem with sitting in on a lesson, however there are certain times of the year that are not always optimal for this.

Can I contact you over skype?

How can I contact current students or alumni in my area or future industry?

We are happy to put you in contact with our alumni. We ask that you send us a copy of your curriculum vitae so that we might find someone with similar experience or background for you to speak with.

Am I able to speak to any Admissions Representatives in my country or region?
