Since I finished my Bachelor degree in economics and management, I wanted to continue my studies in the field of supply chain and purchasing management, and I truly believe that the choice of the MSCPM is the wisest I could have made. Not only the master has given me valuable insights on the subjects of supply chain and purchasing management but it has also contributed to my personal growth as a future professional and as a person. The multicultural environment, the right mix between theoretical and practical teaching, are only some of the reasons why I will never regret my choice.
This master provides a complete and deeply overview of the best practices, advanced expertise and last trends of supply chain and purchasing with case studies, open discussions during the courses and group assignments, aimed to enhance the cohesion and collaboration with classmates from all over the world. It has also contributed to the evolution of my professional career through a highly effective career service: many companies were invited to the school for recruiting. One of these firms, Whirlpool Europe, visited MIP at the end of the semester, offering me an interview and afterwards a job as Strategic Sourcing Analyst for the EMEA region. I'm very satisfied for having chosen MSCPM and the achievements accomplished thanks to MIP.
The MSCPM program is really winning because it combines best the managerial and technical apporaches, giving to the students both analytical and managerial skills which are both crucial in the field of supply chain and purchasing management. Industry insights were also very well provided by the "sectoral approaches" course. Moreover, the great variety of professional and life experiences between professors, students and practitioners was definitely a great value added. Finally, it was also the opportunity for me to discover Milan, which is a very dynamic and inspiring city to live in. I'm currently working for a multinational FMCG company (Reckitt Benckiser) as Demand Planner, where I'm applying on a daily basis the frameworks I've learned during the programm; and I'm sure this will help me to further my career.
After I have finished my Bachelor degree in Cyprus and having gathered two years of professional experience as a Logistics coordinator, I was determined to achieve a 360 view of not only logistics but of the entire Supply Chain. My experience of undertaking a Master in Supply Chain and Purchasing Management at MIP Politecnico di Milano has offered me not only an opportunity to adopt an oriented mindset towards flexible solution, but also an intercultural approach, through collaboration with variety of nationalities, academic and professional backgrounds. I also gained an incredible experience in building true partnerships both inside and outside the business school. MSCPM enhanced my character and determination in my pursuit of my academic, professional and life ambitions, it has opened my mind to adapt to the unpredictability of nowadays business world and taught me that people are capable of achieving ambitious goals, when they communicate, collaborate and share a vision for a better future.
The MSCPM programme has completely resonated with my previous experience and future goals I had set for myself and was the spark I needed to get ignite my potential. The setting of the programme was rather intriguing and definitely paid off in terms of opening my mind to new cultures and broaden my idea space.
Main Benefits from the Master:
> One of the vital strenghts of the programme was providing us with guest speakers from top companies from different industries.
> The programme provided me with the fundamentals of supply chain. This allowed me to link my two years of experience in the field of procurement to the comprehensive vision which was provided by the experienced professors from different industries.
Given the fact that I am fond of the automotive industry I will start my Internship at Toyota Motor Europe in the logistics department.
