The MIP and EADA Alumni Network

The 2014 launch of the Global Executive Master in Operations and Supply Chain Management has been the inaugural edition of the executive master, and so those students taking part in the programme became part of the already established and highly successful Alumni Network of the both MIP and EADA.

The Alumni network of MIP Politecnico di Milano is composed of numerous graduates of post-graduate Masters and MBA programmes who have gone on to forge successful careers in Europe and the world, in a wide variety of sectors and roles. Our Alumni are an integral part of the MIP community, and still play an active role in the life of the school, attending various functions and events, both in Milan, and around the world.

Interview with GEMOS Student Salvador Enrique Falaguera Sarrias

Salvador Enrique Falaguera Sarrias
Managing Director at S.C. ULMA Packaging S.R.L., Cluj Napoca (Romania)

"GEMOS has helped me to open up my horizons and in this way has given me a more comprehensive vision when it comes to taking more decentralised and strategic decisions"

Why GEMOS?
The first thing that appealed to me about the GEMOS was its specific focus on the areas which I consider to be the most important in any company: manufacturing and services. Secondly, I was attracted by the possibility of acquiring more up-to-date knowledge on trends in Operations and SCM.

What makes the GEMOS special?
What makes the GEMOS special is the combination of theory and practice.  The methodology helps you easily apply what you are learning in your day-to-day activities, ensuring you get the most out of each module. The structure – which is compatible with your professional agenda – means that you can apply the knowledge acquired in the modules when you return to work.

What’s more, it is the only programme offering an executive coaching service. My sessions with the coach have helped me identify points for improvement and have enabled me to develop an action plan. The executive coaching focused on the professional profile of Operations and SCM is a great competitive advantage.

Interview with GEMOS Student Stefan Ferretti

Stefan Ferretti
Group Integrated Planning Implementation Manager

Why did you decide to enroll in the GEMOS at EADA and MIP?
I decided to look for a Master that could give me added value to my operations and supply chain management knowledge.

GEMOS satisfied this need thanks also to its mixed approach: it enables me to widen my understanding and acquire in-depth knowledge while continuing with my day-to-day job. It is a good balanced solution to reach my education and training goals and at the same time keeping my daily business process.

Is the structure of the programme suitable for a Manager's agenda?
Definitely. I am satisfied with the programme structure, it has confirmed to be as manageable as it was initially presented, I would recommend keeping the same format also for the next editions. I would not change anything in the workload distribution, as it is one of GEMOS competitive advantages. GEMOS offers the appropriate solution for professionals willing to widen their expertise in supply chain and operations, while continuing working.
